John who started as service manager at the end of August, had already spent nearly 13 years in the company. After serving nine years in the parts department in Telford, John then moved over to Shrewsbury to work in the Fast Fit Centre for the next three. John said “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to manage the aftersales for both Renault and Nissan in Shrewsbury. I have lived in Telford my whole life and it is great to have stayed in Shropshire for this long.
“Having worked as part of the team at Renault for most of my career, I am keen to use the skills I have picked up and apply them to the Nissan range. I also want to build upon my knowledge by learning as much as I can about this exciting brand."
Neil Scutts, sales manager at Nissan said “We are thrilled to welcome John into the Nissan family. He prides himself on providing an excellent level of customer service and this is key for us as a company.
“With the new Micra and Note having just been released and with plenty more future developments around the corner, this is an exciting time for John to join Nissan. We are certain that he will prove to be an asset to our team and are looking forward to working with him long into the future.”
The other addition to the Greenhous Nissan team is recent starter Richard Barton, who has made the switch from trainee sales consultant in Renault over to Nissan. Richard was born in Shrewsbury but because his father was in the RAF, spent three years living in Hong Kong and then Oxfordshire before moving back home to Shrewsbury. Richard said “The move from Renault to Nissan has been great for me. I initially started as a trainee salesman at Renault in March so to be taken on by Nissan permanently means I finally get my own desk! The showroom itself is much busier and I am thrilled about working with the brand and taking on a new challenge.
“Nissan is going through an exciting period in terms of product releases and the innovative electric Leaf is further proof that the industry is heading towards an electric future. 100% electric means zero emissions and the Leaf offers dynamic acceleration, improved torque and enough space to rival any other family car.”
Neil Scutts said “Richard has impressed everyone he comes into contact with and has the type of personality and people skills that are ideal for the showroom. He is hardworking and has a real enthusiasm for the business which is incredibly important to us. “We had a vacancy for a full time post in the Nissan team and rather than hiring externally, it seemed the obvious choice to take on Richard full time as he already had an understanding of the company and the product range.
“Not only are Nissan going through an exciting period but so are Greenhous and we are delighted to welcome John and Richard into the Greenhous Nissan family.”
