Massive increase in plug-in vehicles registrations in Shropshire.

The electric revolution has started! The latest statistics for registrations of electric plug-in vehicles in the Shropshire Council area show an increase of 91% from October 2017 to September 2018.Numbers actually increased from 381 to 726. This is still a fraction of the total vehicles registered, but it is an indication of the growing support of alternatively powered vehicles.

At Greenhous Nissan sales of the all-electric Nissan Leaf have proved strong and Greenhous recently signed a contract to supply multiple Nissan ENV200 vans to the parcel distribution company DPD for use in London, where the Low Emission regulations impact on petrol and diesel powered vehicles.

There are several positive reasons for driving all electric vehicles like the Nissan Leaf and ENV200.There is a zero road tax for all electric vehicles. Charging an electric vehicle is considerably cheaper than using petrol or diesel for the same mileage. Green drivers also have the satisfaction of knowing that they are not emitting noxious fumes and particulates from their vehicles helping to improve the local environment.

Improved battery technology means that the Nissan Leaf now has a range up to 235 miles. The Nissan Leaf is the UK's most popular all-electric car and you can find out more about it here: https://www.greenhousnissan.co.uk/new-cars/nissan-leaf/
