Taking on a challenge for charity is one thing, but getting into the boxing ring for a fight is on a whole new level! However, that is what Adam Beddin, sales executive at Greenhous Nissan in Shrewsbury is prepared to do to support his chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.
Adam is from Shrewsbury and he has taken on the Ultra White Boxing challenge where complete amateurs are trained up to put on a charity bout against a similarly skilled opponent. Adam will enter the ring at a spectacular night of boxing to be held at the Buttermarket in Shrewsbury on Saturday the 23rd April.
Speaking ahead of training Adam reveals that he has been in training for 4 weeks: “I train at Simply Gym close to my work. I wanted to get fit and this seemed a good way to do that and raise much needed cash for the charity. We have close family members who have suffered from this horrible disease and I want to do something to help the research into cancer prevention.
“I have set myself a target of raising £500 for Cancer Research UK. I would be very grateful if supporters could use my Just Giving page to donate to the charity.”
Adam has 20 tickets available for the evening’s entertainment at £20 a head. He can be contacted by calling 01743 454020.
All his colleagues wish him the best of luck!
