The Shrewsbury Carnival is a fun event that is organised by a group of volunteers for the benefit of the people of Shrewsbury and the surrounding county. This year the sun shone and thousands of people, young and old, lined the streets of the town and the Quarry to see the fabulous, colourful parade.
Answering a call from the LGBT Pride group, Greenhous Nissan provided a Nissan Navara for the group to decorate in their rainbow colours as part of the walking procession. With lots of singing, dancing, smiles and waving, the procession made its way along Smithfield Road and up into the town centre before returning to the Quarry.
Sal Hampson, on behalf of the LGBT Pride Group gave thanks for the use of the Navara and revealed that their entry had won the ‘Best Walking Float’ category.
