Greenhous Nissan help to promote employee ‘green’ driving.
The Telford based Greenhous Nissan staff have been involved in a Workplace Presentation Programme for the 100% electric Nissan LEAF in partnership with Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd. This took place on a visit to Schneider Electric in Telford to give staff the opportunity to learn about and experience electric driving. The market for plug-in vehicles has quadrupled in 12 months - but many people have lot of questions about electric driving.

The Workplace Presentation Programme has proved successful as it allows staff to learn about the vehicle in a convenient, familiar and no pressure environment. Any member of staff who wishes to look at the LEAF further would also qualify for preferential purchase terms from Greenhous Nissan Telford.  Schneider are also offering a high spec home wall box charger through an employee deal for anyone who purchases a LEAF.

A short presentation was given by Russell Higgins, workplace promotions manager at Nissan, with a Q & A to staff at Schneider and he received great feedback.  Russell commented: “It gave employees the opportunity to understand how you can charge at home with a Government subsidised wall box charger. We looked at whether the real world 100 mile range exceeded their daily usage requirements.

“We also explored the money saved by giving up petrol or diesel, the national public rapid charge network which charges LEAF in 30 minutes, the 5 year warranty on the battery and we also heard feedback from existing drivers.”

Employees also enjoyed test drives to experience how quiet, smooth, and responsive driving electric can be from staff car park thanks to the loan of two Nissan LEAF cars from Greenhous Nissan.
